I found this letter to be very inspiring. Andy Cornell seems like the type of person whos "music is their existance". The fact that he is not writing to a single person but to the whole genre of punk rock is incredible. He gives reasoning to why punk rock has been so inspiring to him. I liked when he gave examples of how he did not know when he became so passionate about the whole punk rock scene, it could have been on many different occasions. Obviously this these artists (that he includes in the letter) songs have made some impact on his life. For me, that is what music should be about. Hearing a song that relates to the difficult times in your life and knowing you are not alone is something that I personally strive on.
What I did not understand about the letter is; what kind of change does he want to see? All types of music make some sort of statement and music typically (not always) identifys who you are. So basically what I am saying is in his letter who could have specified what exactly he wants to happen and have suggestions on what to do.
But overall I thought this was an interesting letter. You can tell it came straight from his heart and also can tell how passionate he really is about making a change!

I'm glad you enjoyed the letter. I like Cornell's way of talking to the movement like it's a person. Interesting move...
